LIZ ANJORIN Splashes N40m On Movie Premiere •Lodges Musicians & VVIP Guests @ ORIENTAL Hotel •Details Of The 07-07-17 Event

The much talked-about premiere of a new movie, Owo Naira Bet from the stable of delectable Yoruba actress, Liz Anjorin, was finally held on Friday, July 7th, 2017 at Ruby Garden Event Center, Lekki, Lagos. The one-in-town superlative occasion was witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life, including popular musicians as Lagos high society trooped out to honour the sultry Nollywood actress. City People’s Entertainment crew, led by our movie reporter, GBOLAHAN ADETAYO, was at the high-class function to capture every bit of the event. Enjoy the excerpts:

ABOUT THE VENUE
The highly anticipated event was held at Ruby Garden Event Center, Lekki 4th Roundabout, Opposite Oando Filling Station. Apart from the gorgeous decor of the hall, the event centre’s premises was also given a facelift. Lekki 4th Roundabout bus stop was clothed in Anjorin’s banners, giving direction to guests in locating the centre without difficulty. The venue was hired for millions of naira.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIZ ANJORIN’S SPECIAL SEAT ON THE OCCASION
Was the seat for the Queen of England? That was the question on the lips of most guests at the multi-million naira party. The white executive chair was placed at a corner for the celebrator. It looked like a setting beffitting only the Queen of England. It was decorated with a lovely, silver-and-gold cloth that had embedded blinking lights. This setting alone, it was learnt, cost #700,000. It was ornamented by Tywa Hand Craft, a company owned by Tyrat Bashirun with her head office located at College Road, Ogba, Lagos.

ALAAFIN OF OYO & OONI OF IFE SAT ON SPECIAL ROYAL CHAIRS
You need to be at the event to witness the glamorous activities that took place there. The decoration provided at the traditional rulers’ section could tempt one to think the hall might probably have been carved out of a palace. Lounge chairs were provided for the Alaafin of Oyo and Ooni of Ile Ife’s representatives. The amazing thing about it was that, apart from the royal fathers, who sat on the chairs with their Olooris, the Alaafin’s entourage sat on the well preserved and specially laid floor just as it is done in the palace.

1 EVENT 3 SITTING ARRANGEMENTS
Even before the event took place, the actress had already announced to the world that there would be 3 sets of people at the occasion, the first class set of guests, business class and economy class as you have in air travel. The tickets for the first class guests were sold for #50,000 each, while the business class went for #20,000, and the economy class was sold for #10,000 and that was how the seats were arranged. The differences among first class, business class and economy class arrangements was largely in the area of treatment arrangement as the first class guests were at a vintage position in the hall.

DERENLE EDUN SHOWS OFF ON THE RED CARPET
Though, the event was slated to start by noon, it however, started behind schedule. Immediately, it took off, there was not a dull moment even before the arrival of Derenle Edun, who was supposed to kick start the walk on the red carpet. The official DJ at the event was busy entertaining guests, while the hip-hop acts present also performed their hit songs. Derenle started the Red Carpet walk a few minutes to 7pm and he really showed off his best with the very important personalities at the party. As expected, babes at the show were all over him as they flocked around him to take selfies.

ST JANET OPENS
THE FLOOR
The party was declared opened as the MC of the event invited on stage the lewd musician, ST Janet, for her performance. The sonorous-voiced singer added more colour to the already colourful event. Her performance was exceptional. The only disappointment Janet gave her fans at the premiere was that, till the end of her performance, her songs were devoid of lewd lyrics. No time for lewd music.

… AND THE CELEBRATOR ARRIVES IN A STRETCHED LIMOUSINE
Exactly 7pm, a stretched, white Limousine majestically drove in and was parked at the entrance of the main auditorium for a few minutes. Everyone thought it was a government official or suspected that the guest was probably Mr. President of the federation as Photojournalists took positions to take good shoots. The doors opened and the celebrator, Liz Anjorin and her entourage alighted from the exotic car.

LIZ ANJORIN WAS THE CYNOSURE OF ALL EYES
As she alighted from the exotic Limousine, the sexy actress became the cynosure of all eyes. Her elegant look and her well-sewn gown which vigorously reshaped her figure could not be ignored.  She was clad in a dazzling all-stoned gown mixed with Ankara, with frills of gold on her ears, wrist and fingers.

AN ARRAY OF TOP LAGOS MARKET
WOMEN LEADERS
Owo Naira Bet movie premiere really proved it’s critics wrong with the number of quality guests in attendance. Virtually all the leaders of the major markets in Lagos State (The Iya Lojas) stepped out to honour Liz Anjorin. They didn’t only attend the event, but also represented the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu Ojo.

 STILL ON LIZ ANJORIN’S
ELEGANT LOOK
The celebrator, Lizzy Anjorin, stepped out in her second attire looking ravishingly elegant in her flowing embroidered dress.  That was not the end of her fashion parade as she subsequently wore 8 more different outfits.

Just before Pasuma mounted the stage to perform, a group from Badagry called Akere was invited on stage for Egun’s performance. If you know Liz Anjorin’s background, you will know that her father was from Badagry. The group did its performance and Liz couldn’t help but jump on stage to join them for Egun dance steps and she really did it well.

PASUMA’S BAND
BOYS ON STAGE
The Oganla of Fuji music, Alabi Pasuma was live on the bandstand for his first performance which was exciting as he gave a good account of the bundle of singing prowess in him. He praised Alaafin so much that his Olooris could not help, but storm the stage to spray him with naira.

THE PREMIERE’S MASSIVE PUBLICITY
Shortly after the movie was shot, the actress branded a Hiace bus with the poster of the movie, and she drove around in the bus. Besides, she ran massive adverts on social media, television, radio and in newspapers. Then, she picked her first date for the premiere of the flick and she even used some of the LAGBUS platform to advertise it. When the first date couldn’t hold, she picked another date and the adverts continued announcing the new date. It made the event unique.

LACE & OLUWE’S PERFORMANCES
Oluwe Mawe crooner, and Lace performed as guests appreciated them. The two talented hip-hop singers also added glamour to the event.

Fast-rising comedian better known as Baba Alariya is, indeed, a comedian to reckon with especially when you have a big event and you don’t want the guests to be bored. The entertainer thrilled every guest on the occasion with rib-cracking jokes, particularly when he shared his experience in Abuja after Honourable Minister of 3 portfolios, Babatunde Raji Fashola was appointed and he invited him, Gbenga Adeyinka and Ambode to Abuja for the celebration. The joke was very interesting and it really drove everyone including Ambimbola Fashola reeling in laughter.
