“I HARDLY SEE MY HUSBAND EVERY WEEK”-Top Actor, Muyiwa Ademola’s Wife, Omolara Voices Out

Behind a successful man, is a woman and in the success story of top actor, Muyiwa Ademola, Omolara Ademola is the brain behind him. The Ondo State-born woman of integrity is the beautiful wife of Authentic as Muyiwa is fondly called by fans. She is a business woman. She met Muyiwa exactly 13 years ago in Abeokuta through her friend’s friend who linked them up before love set in. They got married 9 years ago and the union is blessed with wonderful kids (Boys and Girls). A few days ago, Muyiwa was unveiled as a brand ambassador for Schemelink Properties Limited which was held at Protea Hotel, GRA Ikeja, Lagos where City People GBOLAHAN ADETAYO attended. He cornered the ever dazzling damsel for an exclusive interview.  Omolara however, extensively spoke on how she met her husband 13 years ago and what has been sustaining the marriage since she got married 9 years ago among other interesting issues you can’t afford to miss about her: excerpts.

How do you feel being here today?

I feel cool and honored to be here today for the unveiling of my husband as a brand ambassador for Schemelink Properties Limited. I am so excited and I give God glory for being with us in the family.

How did your love story with Muyiwa start?

We actually met 13 years ago and we became husband and wife 4 years after. It has been nice and wonderful though it hasn’t been easy but we give glory to God almighty that has been seeing us through and protecting the union. We met in Abeokuta under the rock (Laughter).

How did it happen?

I actually got to know him through a friend’s friend who introduced me to him and we started talking from there. It was a love at first sight.

What was the side attraction?

I can’t really say but I know I love him and likewise him also.

How do you cope marrying a busy actor like him?

It’s being God. It has not been easy. It takes only the grace of God to be successful in the marriage. He is always at movie locations. At times we only see each other like twice a week but we do talk a lot on phone and that is why I said it hasn’t been easy. We do the talking on phone almost every day. We talk from time to time.

What would you say has been sustaining the marriage in the last 9 years?

Like I said earlier, it’s hasn’t been easy but I thank God. It takes a lot of patience, trust because I trust my husband so much. I really trust him more than anybody. If he is not working, common my baby will be at home chilling with his God given family. He is not the type who parties, drink nor smoking.

When he asked you out, were you initially aware that he has a set of twins out of wedlock?

Yes. He told me that but he wasn’t married to anybody before me at all. He had the twins way back before I met him. Though when he asked me out, I was like no you had a set of twins already, what would I be doing with you which I didn’t know? He said he had the twins out of wedlock, one thing led to another and we got married.

I learnt the twins have been living with you since when they were 7 year old, how did you do it that there was never a problem in the house nurturing 2 kids from another woman?

All I have to say is to keep thanking God, it hasn’t been easy like I said earlier but I am able to cope. You know kids can be very naughty at times. God has really been seeing me through all these while. They are now 18 years and we are still staying together.

What do you mean by kids can be naughty at times?

What I mean is that, sometimes they will feel like why is it not our mum living with our dad and when I met my husband, he wasn’t dating anybody, so what I do most times when they want to be naughty is to call them and talk to them like a mother to her children and I think they understand better when I talk to them.

Personally, how do you feel when they act to you in a naughty way?

I don’t feel anything because I see them as kids and it is normal.

What came to your mind that moment he told you that he has a set of twins?

I knew I was going to have mine. He told me it wasn’t intentional and it is not new that a man mistakenly has kids out of wedlock. I just asked my self is it normal? Would I be able to cope? And I

think I love him and the love superseded everything.

What really convinced you to fall in love with actor?

He is a gentle type and God fearing man and it is a long time prayer that I should locate a God fearing man if I want to marry. So I saw it all in him all the quality I wanted in my man.

How do you react to the rumour in the media that you and Mosun Filani fought because of him?

Well, people carries rumour either it is real or not but I know what my man can do or not. For the kind of job he does, I cannot stop people around him especially women because that is what his job entails. I never fought Mosun Filani neither do I poured acid on her like it was written, they are all rumours.

How did you react to the news when you saw it?

I saw the report and ignored because I am not a noisy type and you know the way how Nigerian papers reports. No doubt in the fact that they both worked together and I can recall sometimes ago when it was written that she has moved to Ibadan because of Muyiwa but my husband is not that kind of person. At times I do pay him a visit at locations even without telling him that I am coming and if I want to see him, he will probably be on set.

CPPM CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR RELEASING MINISTERIAL NOMINEE LIST

The Committee for the Protection of Peoples Mandate (CPPM) joins millions of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora in congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari for releasing his list of ministerial nominees of eminently qualified persons of proven integrity and character as promised.

We are very happy to note that this list of nominees which was released well over four months since the inauguration into office of Mr. President was delayed not because he was looking for angels and saints, but rather as a result of the need to clear the Augean stable of the mess and rot of misgovernance left behind by his immediate predecessor.

We are also very happy that this list of ministerial nominees meets the expectations of most Nigerians for change as they are comprised of respectable, tested and trusted men and women of proven track record of performance and pedigree in their chosen fields and public office, whose footprints is already imprinted in the sands of time.

As the Senate commences the screening of the ministerial nominees submitted by Mr. President, the Committee for the Protection of Peoples Mandate (CPPM), admonishes members of the upper legislative chamber to be patriotic, responsible, responsive, thorough, focused and observant of due process and the rule of law in the discharge of this constitutional responsibility.

We are very much aware that the legislature is an arm of government constitutionally empowered with the responsibility of making laws for the good of the society. Therefore, it is important to warn the Senate not to usurp the constitutional functions of the security agencies and the courts of law based on petitions and allegations submitted to it against some of the ministerial nominees.

We are also aware that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, presumes a person innocent until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction, so the Senate as a law making body must not illegally and unconstitutionally become a court of law by passing judgements on nominees against whom allegations and petitions have been raised.

We are quite aware that the office of a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not have immunity to prevent him or her from facing prosecution for an alledgedly committed crime before or after assuming office, therefore, the Senate is enjoined to perform its responsibility of screening with an eye on the rule of law.

We must remind members of the Senate that the constitution stipulates the minimum requirements of a would be Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and it is expected that the provisions of the constitution as the Grundnorm, would be strictly adhered to, because any rules or conditions put in place for the screening which runs contrary to the tenets of the constitution, would be null and void.

We also need to remind the Senate and those spurring it to commit illegality and unconstitutionality with regards to the screening of the ministerial nominees, that if their arguments were to be valid and hold water, then a large number of the members of the upper legislative chamber should not have occupied their seats because of pending litigations against their elections at the elections petition tribunals. These litigation is petitions and allegations against their victory at the polls as pronounced by the electoral umpire (INEC) which can only be upturned by another arm of government, which is the judiciary.

As the Senate commences the screening, the Committee for the Protection of Peoples Mandate (CPPM) wishes them the best as they perform their constitutional responsibility with strict observance of due process and the rule of law which will go a long way in ensuring justice and deepening our democracy.

NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS, LOLA ALAO'S ONE YEAR MARRIAGE IN HOT SOUP + WHY IT MAY CRASH SOON

According to Yorubamoviegist.com, If news making the rounds about Lola Alao, a popular Yoruba actress, who reportedly got married to her US-based husband, Wale Ajibola, in 2013, is anything to go by, it means the movie industry in Nigeria may wrap up 2014 with a broken marriage.
Such news may not be new to many Nollywood buffs as this is more or less a reoccurring decimal.

Not too long ago, against all odds, the marriage of Ini Edo was under public scrutiny when she announced she was walking away from the marriage that was consummated in November 2008 in Nigeria.

Gist spreading like wide fire now is that Lola Alao’s best friend identified as Becky has allegedly snatched her (Lola Alao) man from her.

It was gathered from reports that Becky, who is based in Canada, has given Wale a sweeter version of what Lola gives to him and the man may not look back so as not to turn into a pillar of salt.

Even though it was reported that Becky has a man in her life called Kola, it seems she is more interested in having a feel of Wale’s ‘John Thomas’, which Lola grabbed despite several ‘capable John Thomases’ chasing her around in Nigeria.

What will come out of this drama is still what we are trying to figure out, but for now, fingers are still crossed.
