THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)yesterday banned its former Disciplinary Committee chairman, Olaleye Adepoju, and the Oyo State Sports Commissioner, Dapo Lam Adesina from all football related activities for 10 years.
Rising from an emergency committee meeting, the NFF upheld the recommendation of the investigative committee into bribery allegation against Adepoju, as recommended by the Chris Green-led committee.
The NFF in a statement yesterday said the decision was based on the unanimous position of the emergency committee that the case against Adepoju was proved beyond reasonable doubt.
In a related development, the emergency committee also upheld the
recommendation of the investigative committee into "an allegation of
impersonation against the Chairman of Enugu State Football Association, Chidi Ofo Okenwa, to the effect that Okenwa, indeed, has a case to answer."
According to the statement, those present at the meeting were NFF President, Aminu Maigari, Vice President, Mike Umeh and other members, including Emeka Inyama, Muazu Suleyman, Yusuf Ahmed Fresh and Ahmad Muazu Kawu.
