NIGERIA'S NATIONAL ANTHEM COMPOSER, BENEDICT ODIASE DIES

Close to 2 decades now, June 12 has always been a wonderful/powerful day in Nigeria, but this 2013 June 12 will forever remains unforgettable one as the 2 strong men in Nigeria went with it. One of which the shocking exit of Juju legend, Pa Fatai Rolling Dollar was part of. Another death has occurred as this respected man in Nigerian, Pa Benedict Odiase (MON), the composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, also relegated from the league of the world. This information was revealed to us by a source close to the family of Odiase.

The source further confirmed to us that Odiase died on Tuesday night after a brief illness. "Odiase died at his Oregun residence, Ikeja Lagos" the source hinted us on Wednesday afternoon.

Late Odiase composed Nigeria's National Anthem 'Arise O Compatriots', which replaced the former anthem, 'Nigeria We Hail Thee'. The source lamented late Odiase was neglected by the Federal Government before his death.
