NIGERIAN IDOL STAR JEMIRIYE FIRES BACK AT P-SQUARE Releases new single “I go chop your money”
One of the finalists in the just concluded Nigerian idol season 2, Jemiriye Adeniji, in her recently released single entitled “Chop your money, the reply” which is currently making waves on top Nigeria, Ghana and UK radio stations has fired back P-square over their released album in which chop my money was the hit track and became a club banger especially when Senegalese-born America superstar Akon featured in the remix. The first version of the song, has it that P-square were in love with a damsel which they were ready to spoil silly, and titled it chop my money, but sonorous voiced singer, Jemiriye has replied them in an astonishing way and called it “I go chop your money”.
If you must know, Jemiriye started her musical career as a child from church choir where she was the children choir leader at age 7 and ever since then, she has never been disappointed over her first choice to become an international superstar just like her predecessors. Jemy as her friends and fans addresses her, performed at Pan-African Women conference in South Africa in the year 2006 where the likes of Winnie Mandela, former minister of Nigerian women affairs Ajia Ciroma, and other notable women across Africa were in attendance. More so, she performed at the first HEADIES AWARDS, Gbenga Daniel’s second term campaign party, Abuja Carnival 2007 but to mention a few. It will interest you know that Jemy recently signed a promotion and production deal with ace saxophonist Yemi Sax.
