ABIMBOLA FASHOLA, OTHERS WALK FOR CHASTITY

As parts of its efforts in promoting chastity among young girls, Virgins' Pride Network, a non governmental organization, is taking young girls on a road walk to create awareness for the virtue of chastity in the society.According to Mrs. Nkechi Odebiyi, the convener of the event, Walk For Chastity is a step further by the NGO to spread the gospel of chastity in the Nigerian society saying the value and tradition of chastity and morals is fast disappearing among young girls."The rate at which young girls are losing their sense of values
now a days is highly deplorable and no one is doing anything about it. We have many 13yearold that have already lost their vicinities.

Sometimes, you will be amazed at the people defiling these young ones; some their own close relatives and even fathers. Many of our young girls have also taken into prostitution. It's really appealing, we can't pretend as if nothing is happening. That has always been our concern at Virgins Pride Network, the essence of this road work is to sensitize the girls and spread the awareness on chastity. The first lady of Lagos state Mrs. Abimbola and other dignitaries are expected to come out and support this girls." Odebiyi commented.Walk for Chastity which will holds on October 28th, 2011 between 9 to 11 am will start from the Ikeja under Bridge and end at the Zenith Garden, Alausa. Teachers and parents all over the country are also encourage to come outen-mass to support the girls made up of age 13 to 25 in the walk.
