Seven years after Wunmi Obe’s brother departed, she Loses another one! Family laments: we have accepted God’s will

When Wunmi Obe, one half of famous Nigerian singing couple TWO woke up on the morning of September 3, 2011 to dress up for the Christy Essien Igbokwe’s Novelty Match at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos, there was probably no sign in the weather to make her suspect or have a premonition of the sad incidence which was to befall her family, the popular Aboderin.
But unfortunately, the bad news of the untimely and gruesome death of her cousin popularly called Roscoe was already awaiting her at home according to a reliable source.
As at the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from the family neither was there any response to gbolahanadetayoblog’s call to the couple’s line and that of Mr. Wole Aboderin another prominent member of the family to confirm the sad news, however, according to our source, Roscoe who we gathered is a younger brother to Wunmi works with popular events planning and management outfit, Kiss Events, owned by highly revered showbiz guru, Bayo Odusanmi a.k.a Howie T.
Roscoe was said to have slumped and died while working on a stage at a particular location.
“We’ve carried him to the mortuary. This is really a bad time for the family. Roscoe was a very promising guy. Wunmi Obe has been crying uncontrollably”.
This news is coming about seven year after Jaiye Aboderin, the elder brother to Wunmi and husband of Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus died in a similar fashion while playing basketball with friends in Lagos in year 2004. Jaiye was the founder of the then fast rising music band, Synergy. It’s also occurring barely two weeks after Wunmi’s husband Tunde Obe celebrated his birthday. Gbolahan Adetayo’s condolence hereby goes to the family. But as at last week Saturday, this blog gathered that deceased has been buried and facebook account was created for it so that anyone really wants to know anything about the departed brother of Wunmi can long on to his facebook account. We however placed text message to the Tunde Obe, the hubby of Wunmi, at least to hear their comments before we will disseminate the awful news, and he replied us with this message. “Gbolahan, how are you, aburo? She lost her cousin (Roscoe) on her mom’s side... He has since been buried… and Wunmi has accepted God’s will he has been laid to rest… A facebook page was set up for him. A star in the making is right now hugging the Nigerian entertainment industry, in the person of multi-talented actor, Rilwan Adisa Ologolo otherwise known as Benzemaa.   He is the first Child of his mum and only child of his Father who died many years ago, particularly when he was 2 year old.   He grew up at Berkley Street, Obalende but he hails from the Ologolo family in Eti Osa Local Government, Lagos Island.  Though he is no longer new in the show business but as the saying goes, a patient dog eats the fattest bone, which is what aptly illustrates his journey into acting. The journey started for him in 2007 when he joined a Drama Club owned by the Vice Principal of his school. Thereafter, his friend who is also an actor, Azeez Ijaduade invited him to his group.
