While tongues are still wagging over the impetuous appearance of UK-based gangster rapper Snoop Dog, in one of the D’Banj’s hit tracks (Mr. Endowed) that rocked the air waves not too long ago, many Nigerian artistes have been getting fanatical over the act to feature foreign songsters in their album in order to compete with the record that Koko Master made and to arrest the attention of their fans and also to make use of those alien stars’ image to sell their music.

Some of the Nigerian artistes that were rumoured to feature foreign vocalists are J-Martins, who was said to have featured Hip Don’t Lie crooner Shakira, on his yet to be done album, Faze to feature Akon and Wyclef Jean, while Tuface was linked with Bob Marley’s wife and other far-off songstress. Now, the latest rumour making the rounds about the newly introduced idea of Nigerian artistes is that the versatile and energetic singer who claim to be a saint but has multiple kids from his so-called girl friends, Innocent Idibia, otherwise known as Tuface and the Princess of Africa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka of South Africa who became a force to reckon with after her hit tracks “Thank you Mr DJ” and Umpomboti, are to make collaboration together. It would be recalled that in the previous time, Chaka Chaka was reported to have stormed Tuface’s cousin, A-Jay Odeh’s album party held at Movida, a posh night club in Lagos Island; her surprise visit, we gathered, was made possible by Tuface, so as to make final and proper arrangement on how the collabo will be. Trust us, having heard this, SE called Tubaba as he’s fondly called and addressed by fans and friends alike, to know the reality of the rumour, but efforts made by SE proved abortive as we were unable to interact with him directly. Thank God for an innocent man who claimed to be the manager of Now Records, Tuface’s Record label, which spoke to us, and said he doesn’t know if Idibia has such plans but right now, he is not in town. We want to believe him, but stay glued to this page as we bring you new development of the story as soon as we get in touch with Tuface himself.
